Удивительные ляги

Большинство людей не любит жаб и лягушек. А зря. Многие из них вполне себе милашки:

Первая не сама по себе светится, просто лампочку проглотила.

The silent reptile looks intent on eating his prey - but in fact it was trying to cool down rather than grab its next meal. Fahmi Bhs, 39, took the incredible series of pictures after spending around four hours photographing animals in the area. He watched as the crocodile slowly approached the frogs, opening its jaws and seemingly threatening to swallow them whole. But the reptile was actually trying to cool itself down - opening its mouth to regulate its body temperature after spending the morning basking in the hot sun. Fahmi, of Jakarta, Indonesia, said: "The croc did not want to eat them, but I witnessed this very creature pouncing on a small chicken with incredible speed afterwards!

The two White's Tree Frogs were spotted attempting to heave themselves back onto the stem after they slipped off. The male and female frogs were racing each other up the branch like climbers hoisting themselves up a rope, with the larger, older female frog winning the contest. But as the frogs reached the top of the branch it began to bend under their weight until it was horizontal, leaving them both hanging on by their finger tips. Kurit Afsheen photographed the amphibians as they clung onto the branch in Tangerang, Indonesia. Mr Afsheen said: "I saw them climbing up the branch and it looked like they were trying to race each other.

The acrobatic frogs even use a vertical branch to hang themselves off sideways, displaying immense strength and bulking up their muscles. In another photo, one frog poses proudly with a cap on after a fitness session - using a petal from a lotus flower. Professional photographer Lessy Sebastian, 50, captured these amazing photographs when he spent the afternoon in his garden. He bought the frogs from a reptile shop almost a year ago and keeps them in his pond in Jakata, Indonesia. Lessy said: "Usually every weekend I have an opportunity to photograph them and watch them play on a tree branch and jump on a lotus flower to a rest".

The paddy frog sheltered under the tropical plant to escape the shower in his jungle home. Photographer Muhammad Ridha, 27, spotted the creature trying to dodge the raindrops while out for a walk near his home in Borneo, Indonesia. Muhammad said: "I was surprised when it started raining but kept walking. "After about five minute, I saw the frog already sitting on top of a leaf about 30cm off the ground. "He was using it as a platform to shelter under a leaf higher up, which he was holding onto like an umbrella to keep him out of the rain. "The frog seemed unbelievably excited to be above the leaves and happy to have found a dry spot".

The frog was enjoying an afternoon nap, minding its own business high up in a branch, when the snail decided to interrupt its snooze. Approaching the snoozing amphibian the quick-thinking snail clearly decided that the only way to reach its destination was to slide over the frog, which took it eight long minutes. Photographer Lessy Sebastian, from Jakarta, Indonesia, captured the rare moment in his front garden. A number of green tree frogs live in the pond underneath the branch in question and often jump up to enjoy the shade while they sleep.

For there's one reason the reptile's beady eye is fixed greedily on its visitor with jaws gaping wide in anticipation - feeding time. Fahmi Bhs, 39, captured this unexpected moment in a pool in Jakarta, Indonesia. He watched as the crocodile devoured the first frog in his enclosure, but was amazed when it appeared unable to capture the second. The small amphibian settled on the crocodile's head before moving to the tip of its nose as it opened its huge mouth. Eventually the lucky frog hopped away and left the small pool. Fahmi said: "It looked as though the croc had eaten enough breakfast and just wanted to keep the frog as a 'little pet' instead."

Curled around the branches of a small coconut tree, the snake appears relatively undisturbed by the bold passenger that has clambered onto its skin. Grown in captivity together, the pair display no signs of aggression or fear, comfortable with their encounters high up in the leafy branches. Photo enthusiast Fahmi Bhs watched in surprise as the frog slowly climbed along the scales of the metre long snake at a zoo in Jakarta, Indonesia. The 39-year-old said: "I was worried the python may swallow this beautiful frog. "But then a keeper told me that this particular snake doesn't eat frogs at all and it did seem almost undisturbed by its presence. "The python occasionally sniffed around the frog but then it just let the creature do whatever he needed to do."

The 7cm-long frog stared out the insect as it got up close and personal to him on the thin branch. But the 1.5cm grasshopper simply jumped onto his back and made his way across to the other side. The moment was captured on camera by 29-year-old Andri Priyadi near his backgarden in Tangerang, Indonesia. Andri likes to spend his spare time photographing his pet frog, which is a tree frog known as a 'dumpy frog'. He said: "I like taking my frogs to play in the yard so I go there often. "My favourite picture is the one of them looking at each other because I bet the frog didn't expect the grasshopper to climb over him".

"They moved very quickly and elegantly - it reminded me of a dancer, they had the same sort of style in their movements."

This unusual friendship was captured by photographer Frenki Jung, 17, who was taking pictures of the frog when the wasp flew over. Frenki, a student from Sambas in Indonesia, said he was amazed to see how the frog reacted when the insect landed on him. He said: "These pictures were taken in a garden just behind my house, I was taking pictures of my pet frog when the wasp flew over. "It landed right on top of him, it was like he was asking him for a lift".
